Sewing long, complex projects is fun but there are always the days when you want to sew something quick but also something practical and fun. They also make great customize gifts for a lot of people in a very short time. This post will show your fours projects that you can sew for your loved ones with a bit of personalization on occasions like Eid, Christmas or Diwali. Let there be any occasion, they are sure to spread happiness.

I have compiled for you four easy projects which are:

  1. A corner fabric bookmark
  2. A round quilted fabric coaster
  3. A phone charm
  4. Chord holders

Corner Fabric Bookmark

Do you love reading or your friend does? Then this is the perfect tutorial for you. This is also your big chance to use up all the scraps fabrics that have been lying around. See below some of the photos of corner bookmarks that I made which are also available in my shop.

The material I have used to sew the corner bookmarks is polyester canvas. But you can use cotton as well.

I have fused all my fabric with very lightweight interfacing fabric. To make a corner bookmark you will need:

  • 4″ x 4″ or (10cm x 10cm)
  • lightweight fusible interfacing (3)
  • 4″ x 4″ or (10cm x 10cm) fabric (3)

If you sewing the corner bookmarks for gifting purpose then you can add a name tag to give it a more personalized look.

A Round Fabric Quilted Coaster

Bored of having the usual coasters. Want to make a coaster of your own choice with a pattern of you own choice? then this is the project for you. Following this sewing tutorial you will be able to make your very own personalized tea coaster.

Make one, a dozen or simply a set of two. You will have just as much fun sewing them all. So grab your favorite fabric and your sewing machine and get to work.

The fabric I have used to sew the coaster is polyester canvas. You can also use a quilting cotton.

I have used a polyester sheet between two layers of fabric and a bias tape for hiding the raw edges.

A Fabric Charm

Want to add some life to your phone or USB? Or want to give a cute little personalized sewing gift to your special friend. This is the perfect tutorial for  you. Super easy and fun to sew and super practical. They let you make your stuff stand out.

So grab your scrap fabric from different projects and make these cute little fabric charms with me.

The fabric I used to sew my charms is polyester fabric, you can always use the cotton. If the fabric is too thin, fuse some lightweight interfacing on the wrong side.

Fabric Chord Holder

This is last of the list here and most useful. The fabric chord holders. Who don’t have chords lying scattered or becoming so frustratingly tangled up. So this is a sewing project for us all. Super easy to make and really easy and practical in use. for this reason, I have two sizes for you all. You can use the smaller size for your earphones and larger one for iron wires and similar products.

You can see below the chord holder I have made for myself:

Again the fabric I have used here is the polyester canvas but any fabric will work here. If the fabric is too thin, I will suggest you add a thin fusible interfacing with it.
