In this tutorial I will teach you how to sew a bottle cover. The cover can be used as a side shoulder bag as well because I have added an adjustable strap to it. I feel it is so much easier to carry around as it frees up your hands.

I have also added two pocket to it, one inside and one outside so you can keep some of your valuables along with you.

Summers are approaching and I think this will make a great gift for you family, friends and even for yourself.

The final dimension of this tumbler bag after being made is:

  • -8.5″ Height
  • -7″ Length
  • -3.5″ Width

The material I used for crafting this bag is canvas fabric. for exterior body I have used hard fusible interfacing and for pockets and inner lining I have used lightweight fusible interfacing.

Following are the dimensions and and materials I used for crafting the bottle bag.

Main body fabric: 28cm x 19cm (1)

Lining Fabric: 28cm x 19cm (1)

Hard fusible interfacing: 28cm x 19cm (1)

Lightweight fusible interfacing: 28cm x 19cm (1)

Inside Pocket along lightweight fusible fabric: 19cm x 22cm

Outside Pocket along with light weight fusible: 12cm x 8cm

Webbing: 155cm

How to use the template

Download the template and print it in exact dimensions on A4 paper. Or you can create your own template by following the measurements written on the template.

After you have downloaded and printed the template, cut it out. If you are using a single piece of fabric, place the bottom on folded area.

If you are using two fabric, add another 1cm seam allowance to the bottom of template and then cut it out.
