Crossbody bags are everyone’s favorite. They look chic and can carry around anything at the same time. I have many tutorials on my channel and blog for the quilted (Yes I love quilted bags) crossbody bags with different variations.
This crossbody bag has one zipper pocket inside and D rings attached to the sides so you can use it as a cosmetic pouch or a wristlet as well.
Final measurements of the bag are:
- Height: 17.5cm
- Length: 23cm
- Depth: 6cm
The fabric I have used to sew the crossbody bag is digitally printed polyester canvas. For the outer lining of the bag I have quilted the bag using a polyester sheet. For the insides if the bag I have lined the fabric (silk) with lightweight fusible interfacing. The interfacing gives a structure to the fabric and helps me in precise cutting and neat stitching.
Materials I have used to sew the bag are:
- 1″ wide D rings (2)
- Zipper: 22cm
- Inside zip: 18cm
- D rings fabric: 5cm x 8cm
- Zip tabs: 5cm x 5cm
- Pattern is attached for download.
Simply cutthe pattern (seam allowance of 1 cm is included) . Fold the fabric in half and place the template over fold of fabric where mentioned. You have your fabric cut to pattern.
You will need 2 quilted fabric for outer bag and 2 lining fabric for the inside of bag.
